This week we examine two big policy questions—one that involves the renaming of ships that were christened with names such as USNS Harvey Milk and USNS Cesar Chavez, among others.
We looked at this a few years ago based on the release of a Congressional Research Service report on ship naming and follow up with some deep intel on how ships are named and what might happen with the so-called “de-woking” of the current fleet.
Also, one of our most popular videos this year was around the new Air Force F-47 sixth-generation fighter. Lots of folks are interested in what that plane might look like and how close it might be to actual flight. But there’s chatter about a potential Navy version of the plane, which adds several layers of complexity to an already tech-heavy platform.
We chat with Rear Adm. “Nasty” Manazir about what that Navy version of the F-47 might look like and how it might fit into the carrier air wing.
Stay tuned for more updates. And as always, keep us posted on your thoughts and feedback.

From Our Friends…
This week, the Pentagon released its formal FY26 defense budget request. In that release was a new revelation: the Air Force is accelerating its divestment of the venerable A-10 Warthog. Our friend “Pako” Benitez examines the fallout.
